Thankfulness, gratitude, appreciation – anyway you look at it, simple activities, during Thanksgiving will help students focus on what they are thankful for. Once your student’s project(s) is made, you can decorate your home with handmade crafts too!
1. Thankful Turkey Kids Book Craft – students create A Thankful Turkey Book, writing or drawing pictures of what they are thankful for. Some responses may be as simple as breakfast or, as students get older, thankfulness for family and friends.
2. Make a Thankful Pumpkin . Using strips of construction paper, students have the opportunity to count their blessings. Easy
hands on project that will make an impact.
3. Older students will enjoy compiling gratitude with Washi Tape Turkeys . Gather washi tape, pinecones and felt and see how students make turkeys come to life.
4. Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving Cards . Family and friends treasure homemade cards and crafts. A handprint card is an easy and enjoyable project for students of all ages.
