Merchant of Venice-Heart of America Shakespeare Festival –
NE Kansas Area – Overland Park, KS

Let’s travel back in time with Shakespeare. The prejudices of the 16th century are ever present, but the stereotypes are frequently deepened. And thus, it is with The Merchant of Venice, which features Shylock, the usurious Jewish moneylender, as its villain. Shakespeare gives Shylock a rounded character that helps transcend the stereotype of the money-grubbing man seeking revenge.

We invite you to journey with us to discover Shakespeare, presented by the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival. MVPS Students and Guests interested in MVPS are invited to join us.
